Power and care
Which PETKIT setup fits your water and cleaning routine?
PETKIT uses “wireless” for several different arrangements. It can describe a pump without an exposed internal cable, a Bluetooth app connection or a fountain that actually runs on a battery. Start with the location and cleaning routine you need, then check the exact supplied model rather than treating those meanings as interchangeable.
Need a drinking location away from an outlet?
The EverSweet Max P4115 and Max 2 UVC P4116 have operating batteries. Their manufacturer-linked guides separate wired continuous or intermittent flow from timed battery dispensing. An advertised maximum battery duration should not be paired with an assumption of continuous pumping.
The current pages also advertise approach-triggered flow, while the linked guides do not fully explain its power and firmware conditions. Confirm that combination for the supplied version when it is essential. The Solo 2, Solo SE and 3 Pro UVC use wireless internal pumps but require external power for circulation.
Need a steel drinking surface and dishwasher care?
The Max 2 UVC is a useful starting point: it supplies a steel tray, and the current removable-parts list permits washing the tank, tray, lid, filter holder and outlet pipe in a dishwasher. Keep the control module and electrical base separate. “Dishwasher-safe fountain” is too broad a description for deciding which piece can actually go into the machine.
The original Max has a black nonstick coating over its steel tray and prohibits dishwasher cleaning. The 3 Pro UVC has a stainless-steel reservoir but a plastic drinking tray. Those distinctions can change a shortlist even before capacity or app features enter the decision.
The Ultra P4117 supplies a steel drinking tray with dishwasher permission for that tray, the fountain outlet and magnetic strainer. Its electrical base is excluded, and the clean/waste tanks still require their own regular care. Choose the named component permissions, rather than borrowing the easiest cleaning method from another model.
Need activity history or identification of different cats?
The Max models document drinking frequency and duration in the app. Those are activity records; they do not establish measured milliliters for individual cats. Their direct connection is Bluetooth, with remote interconnection depending on a compatible additional PETKIT master device.
The Ultra has direct dual-band Wi-Fi and camera profiles, with a manufacturer-supported limit of fifteen pets after setup. Check current service terms: the manual distinguishes basic event images from full recorded-video features under PETKIT Care+. Recognition also depends on the camera and profile setup, so review the actual records rather than treating the profile limit as an accuracy guarantee.
The PETLIBRO PLWF305 is a different approach using compatible paired collar tags. Camera profiles do not satisfy a requirement for tag identification, and software pet profiles alone do not supply either kind of identifying hardware.
Need the simpler everyday arrangement?
The Solo SE provides continuous plug-in flow without app setup. The Solo 2 adds a water window and Bluetooth-adjustable intervals. Both have plastic drinking surfaces and hand-wash care. The 3 Pro UVC offers a lower body and a supplied treatment pump, but its usable capacity is 1.6 liters; the 1.8-liter packaging maximum is a different figure.
For each option, write down one complete arrangement: power source, actual flow mode, usable capacity, drinking surface and cleaning method. Then include the compatible filter or Cube replacement routine. A larger reservoir or automatic reminder can help with ownership, but someone still needs to inspect the water, refill it and clean the wet parts.
