Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can I require battery interval flow and app drinking-activity records?
Yes. The P4115 guide documents that power/flow arrangement and Bluetooth frequency/duration records. Those records do not establish milliliters or individual cats.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I require dishwasher permission for the drinking surface?
No. The current US P4115 FAQ prohibits dishwasher cleaning of the components; do not import Max 2 care permissions.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I require Wi-Fi support on the fountain itself?
No. The direct connection is Bluetooth. Remote interconnection needs a separate compatible PETKIT master device and does not turn the fountain into a Wi-Fi model.
Explore this need in the finder →The PETKIT EverSweet Max P4115 is a three-liter rechargeable fountain for a household that wants a drinking location away from an outlet. It combines a coated stainless-steel tray with a plastic reservoir and Bluetooth app features. Its useful strengths are genuine battery operation and recorded drinking activity. The important limitations are the mode conditions, hand-wash care and the distinction between visit records and an actual intake measurement.
Separate the two power arrangements
The original Max works either from USB power or its built-in battery. Its current US page excludes the power adapter and lists a five-volt, one-amp input. Check the available supply before setting up the wired arrangement. Charging the control module and then using the fountain unplugged is a real operating option, rather than a backup that only keeps the clock or settings alive.
The linked manual specifies continuous or intermittent flow when plugged in. For battery use, it describes a default twenty-five-second pumping period each hour, with the frequency managed through the app. Those conditions make it inappropriate to combine the longest promoted battery life with continuous pumping. More frequent operation changes the charging workload.
The current page also describes an approach-triggered mode, with a nearby pet starting a minute of flow. The older linked P4115 manual does not explain how that newer feature coexists with each power arrangement. Confirm the supplied firmware and instructions if that exact combination is essential. The reliably documented baseline remains wired continuous or interval flow and battery interval operation.
The coating changes the material question
PETKIT describes the steel tray as having a black Teflon nonstick coating. A buyer specifically wanting an exposed stainless-steel drinking surface should not treat that as the same surface merely because the underlying tray is steel. The plastic reservoir is another separate part of the wet assembly.
The current product page gives a body height of 7.51 inches and expressly describes 120 milliliters of emergency tray storage. Retained tray water is useful during a pause, but is not a replacement for checking the tank, cleanliness and actual drinking access. It does not establish that an unattended cat has enough usable water for any particular duration.
Hand washing remains the required routine
The current FAQ says the components are not dishwasher-safe. That distinguishes this P4115 from the newer Max 2 UVC, whose current removable-parts list permits dishwasher cleaning. Do not import the newer model's heat-resistant material claim into this one.
The Max's control module and wireless base contain electrical parts and must not be rinsed or soaked. The pump in the tank is also an electrical component even though its power connection is wireless. The linked manual recommends cleaning the tank at least weekly and thoroughly monthly; the current FAQ suggests a four-week filter replacement. Inspect the unit sooner when debris or residue appears, rather than treating those intervals as a cleanliness guarantee.
What the app can tell you
The manual describes daily drinking frequency and average duration, plus filter, battery and water-status information. These records can help an owner notice changes in fountain use, but they are not a confirmed measurement of milliliters consumed or attribution to different cats. Software pet profiles alone do not supply a tag reader or identification camera.
The direct connection is Bluetooth. For remote access, the manual describes interconnection through a compatible PETKIT master device within its stated range and identifies exceptions. Check the actual feeder or litter-box model involved. Owning an unrelated PETKIT accessory does not establish that the bridge will work, and the fountain itself should not be matched as a direct Wi-Fi product.
Choose the original model for its actual package
The P4115 does not include a UVC treatment feature according to its current FAQ; a separately purchased compatible pump is discussed as an upgrade. The reviewed supplied model stays separate from that optional setup. Its battery, coated tray and hand-wash requirements remain relevant even if an accessory is later added.
Compare the PETLIBRO PLWF115 for another battery-oriented arrangement, or the EverSweet Ultra when camera profiles and separate clean/waste tanks are the actual need. The original Max is a sensible fit when its documented battery interval routine, three-liter reservoir and activity records are useful together, with no expectation of dishwasher care or automatic individual intake measurement.
Key details at a glance
| Reservoir and capacity limits | 3 L reservoir; the current page also describes 120 ml retained in the drinking tray. Neither establishes an unattended duration. |
|---|---|
| Power arrangement | Rechargeable operating battery or 5 V, 1 A USB input. Adapter excluded from the current US package. The linked guide separates battery intervals from wired continuous flow. |
| Water flow and conditions | Confirmed baseline: continuous/intermittent flow while plugged in, interval dispensing on battery. Current page additionally advertises approach sensing; exact power/firmware conditions are not explained in the older linked P4115 manual. |
| Drinking surface and wet parts | 304 stainless steel tray with a black Teflon nonstick coating, over a plastic tank. The actual drinking surface is coated, rather than bare stainless steel. |
| Cleaning and source limitations | Current US FAQ says no component is dishwasher-safe. Keep the electrical base/control module out of water. The guide suggests weekly tank and monthly deep cleaning, with the current FAQ suggesting filter replacement every four weeks. |
| App and observation limits | Bluetooth app records drinking frequency and average duration plus status. No confirmed milliliter intake or individual-cat attribution. Remote access needs the guide's compatible PETKIT master-device arrangement; the fountain itself has no direct Wi-Fi specification. |
| Confirmed body height | 7.51 in |
