A useful fit for

A household that wants a stainless open bowl with documented 360-degree access, a compact nominal capacity and an outlet-powered bubbling stream.

The main tradeoff

The pump sits in the wet bowl and must be opened and hand-cleaned; capacity is modest, and battery operation or automatic low-water shutdown is not established.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I require a stainless drinking surface, top-rack permission for the bowl and tower, and continuous outlet-powered flow?

Yes. The exact Seaside PWW00-17099 page identifies a stainless bowl and tower, and its manual allows those large parts on the top rack while keeping the pump and adapter out.

Does this exact model have a ceramic drinking surface?

No. The Seaside is the stainless-steel member of this compact bubbling group; the ceramic option is a different model.

Can the Seaside provide continuous circulation from its own rechargeable battery?

That operating arrangement is not documented. The exact setup uses a submerged pump and wall adapter.

The Seaside Stainless is a compact, 60-ounce fountain for a household that wants an open drinking bowl with access from all sides and stainless steel at the bowl and tower. Its exact US model is PWW00-17099. The main advantage is not a novel pump or a low-maintenance promise: it is a familiar bubbling layout in a stainless vessel, with the pump and filters still needing regular attention.

Steel bowl and 360-degree access

PetSafe describes the Seaside as a 360-degree design, so pets can drink around the central tower rather than approaching one fixed spout. That may help when the bowl is shared or placed where a cat approaches from different directions. The product photo shows an open round bowl, the bubbling tower, a submerged pump, and the included foam and carbon filter pieces. It is a useful identity check, but the photo is not a measurement or proof that every wet part is stainless.

The stainless steel claim belongs to the bowl and tower. The filter housing, filter media, pump, cable, and soft sealing parts are separate components. If your requirement is a stainless drinking surface, this model has a clearer fit than a plastic-top fountain; if you need an entirely metal water path, the documented parts do not establish that.

Sixty ounces is a modest reservoir

The named capacity is 60 US fluid ounces, approximately 1.77 liters by unit conversion. Treat that as nominal capacity rather than a guaranteed usable refill quantity or a schedule for how long water will last. A cat that paws at the stream, several pets sharing one bowl, and room conditions can all change how quickly the level moves. Keep checking and topping up the water. PetSafe’s guide warns that the pump needs at least an inch of water and can fail if it runs dry.

The open bowl remains an accessible water vessel if the pump is unplugged, but that does not mean circulation continues without power. This is a wall-powered fountain, not a rechargeable station. Plan its placement around a safe outlet and keep the adapter, cord connection, and hands dry when plugging it in.

Expect hands-on pump care

The bowl, stainless tower, and plastic filter housing may go on the dishwasher’s top rack, with the silicone gasket removed from that permission. The pump, adapter, rubber cap or grommet, and filters stay out of the dishwasher. This distinction matters: a washable steel bowl is not the same as an all-dishwasher fountain.

For a thorough cleaning, unplug the unit, lift out the tower and filter housing, remove the bowl parts, and open the pump so its faceplate, stator and impeller can be cleaned. PetSafe’s manual calls for cleaning the fountain and pump every two to four weeks. It specifies replacing the carbon filter every two to four weeks and the foam filter every one to two months. Rinse a new carbon filter before installing it, keep soap out of filter media, and follow the maker’s assembly sequence so the pump, cord seal, housing and tower seat correctly.

This is a more involved routine than simply rinsing a bowl. PetSafe’s weak-flow steps say residue can build inside the pump opening or impeller compartment and restrict movement, so replacing filters alone may not restore flow. The official support steps describe cleaning the pump separately; do not run it dry while troubleshooting.

Who should choose it?

Choose the Seaside when the combination of a stainless bowl, open 360-degree access, gentle bubbling and a compact 60-ounce capacity fits the room and care routine. It is a poor match if you need battery operation, an electronics-free lift-off reservoir, app drinking records, or confirmed automatic low-water shutdown. Those capabilities are not established for this configuration.

The Creekside Ceramic offers the same named 60-ounce capacity and all-around access, but uses a ceramic bowl and tower. The Seascape is also ceramic and holds 70 ounces, while its current support page does not make the same 360-degree claim. Compare the material and water layout before treating these similar bubbling fountains as interchangeable.

Key details at a glance

Reservoir and capacity limits60 US fluid ounces nominal capacity, approximately 1.77 liters by unit conversion. This is not a measured usable-water volume or a promise of days between checks.
Power arrangementThe supplied electric pump is submerged in the bowl and powered from a wall adaptor. No rechargeable operating plan is documented; keep the power adapter and cord connection dry.
Water flow and conditionsThe pump continuously circulates water into a soft bubbling stream over the tower. The current exact sources do not establish a pet-approach sensor or selectable interval mode.
Drinking surface and wet partsThe bowl and tower are stainless steel. The pump, adapter, filter housing, carbon and foam media, and sealing parts remain separate components; the entire water path is not steel.
Cleaning and source limitationsThe bowl, tower and plastic filter housing have top-rack dishwasher permission; the silicone gasket, pump, adapter and filters are excluded. PetSafe advises cleaning the fountain and pump every two to four weeks, replacing carbon every two to four weeks and foam every one to two months.
App and observation limitsThe exact model sources do not document app drinking records, individual-pet attribution or Wi-Fi. A physical 360-degree bowl is not an intake monitor.

Use the exact model’s instructions for operating limits, supplied equipment and version differences.
